The works I do currently, cannot be displayed on my portfolio as I would be breaking the company rules. So here I have put up a few works I have done in the past, mostly outside the companies I worked with. Apart from these, the site you are currently lookin at, is also a simple CSS design I did in 2 days to host my portfolio :)
Well, presenting...my works.
www.snvmandir.com
A website for S.N. Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School (Kannur, Kerala, INDIA), the scholl where I spent the first 13 years of my student-life. This project has been taken up as a responsibility of the alumni association of the school.
This site is currently under construction.
WANDeRiNG MiND v.1.0
This was my first try at Blogger skins. WANDeRiNG MiND is my personal blog which I started in September 2004 on Blogger. Though I used one of the templates provided by Blogger in the beginning, I wanted my personal space to look different and so worked on this, which is also my first 3 column, table-less CSS layout.
This template was later changed to a more "brighter" design following suggestions from many blog readers and friends.
WANDeRiNG MiND v.2.0
This was the second skin I did for my personal blog, following suggestions and requests from friends to "make my mind more brighter" ;) It replaced the black scheme shown above.
This is again a 3 column, table-less CSS layout.
This template however, does not exist online at the moment since I migrated WANDeRiNG MiND to my own domain and is currently powered by WordPress.
www.eurotechgensets.com
The home site for Eurotech Gensets Pvt. Ltd.
This is a freelance project and the site is currently under construction.
www.usiacc.com
This is the home site of United States Indian American Chamber of Commerce, which was established in September 2003, to preserve competitive enterprise system of businesses, and promote business development, community growth & economic development.
A website which is often visited by VVIPs in the White House, this is a project I worked on as an employee of Ninestars Information Technologies, Banglore.
The site is online and is regularly updated.
www.ninestar.co.in
Corporate website of Ninestars Information Technologies, Banglore.
A team work, with inputs from three other members of my team at Ninestars in the form of Flash movies and illustrations, this site was completed in 3 days flat.
The site is online.
e-Paper Portals
This is the main area that I have been working on in the past 1 year, as an employee of Ninestars, Bangalore. The company is mainly into digital archiving of newspapers, magazines, books, documents etc. and also has a product which makes online publishing of daily newspapers, a breeze.
My works have been in different UI designs. Since they are all major development projects, I restrain from putting more details online.
www.skzine.net
The personal website of my cousin who works as a consultant with Satyam Computers in Chennai. This was done as a basic mockup of how the site could be presented.
The site is online, but the redesign work has been pending for a while due to various reasons.

Animaster Productions
Some samples I did for a proposal at Animaster, to illustrate how using a 3D modelled mascot and props could be used to make some interesting layouts.
The Productions plan never took off like they expected, but it later morphed into AniThing Studios.

Malnad Builders
A site designed for Malnad Builders (Bangalore) in 2004, under the banner on Xaztec Info Solutions, Bangalore.
This site is not online currently.

Tooling Research Institue (Global Toolroom)
A portal for a startup precision tool and mould manufacturing firm based in Kochi. It was an online extension of the business, with options to place orders and check the status of the order online, apart from the general information about the firm itself. Options to expand the business into training were also included in the project.
Done in 2001, this was a freelance project and was also my first major work, which included server-side scripting and database connectivity. The project however failed due to financial crisis.

Online Network Systems
I worked on this project as a part of the team at Xaztec Info Solutions, where I started career "officialy", in 2003. The site however doesn't seem to be online anymore.
www.xaztec.com
Xaztec Info Solutions, was a small start-up company set up in Bangalore and providing solutions to small and medium sized corporates. It's where I started my work officially as a designer. Though not many works to show around, it was indeed a good learning period.
The company shifted it's operations to it's home town in Kerala and is now doing much better there.
Am I The 1?
This is just a template I did in my early web-design learning days, back in 1999 - 2000. I did several of them, each time learning something new in designing.
Amithe1.com was to be my "official" portfolio site and I have even registered the domain. But as of now, that plan is abandoned and this site is holding my portfolio.

NTTF Tellicherry
A site I did for my alma mater, as a learning exercise around the same time I switched my career path from Tool Making to Web Designing, in 1999 - 2000. This was never hosted officially.
I hosted the pages on a free web server those days and used it as an interface for the egroups I started for the alumni of the institute. Lots changed ever since. EGroups was taken over by Yahoo! and became Yahoo Groups and the free host (Dencity.com) stopped the "charity works" and went pay. And my site came down.

As a kid I had a passion for cartoons and animations like every other child brought up on a "healthy diet" of Disney, Looney Toons and Tom & Jerry videos. But when I grew up, the love for such animated movies never died in me. With the attack of 3D animated movies, it just grew in me again. Even today, about 80% of my video collection is animated movies. I guess the child in us never dies.
I did a short course in 3D animation using Maya, from MUV Institute of Digital Arts (Chennai, India) in 2002-2003. However I could not do many works in it and my career as a web designer hasn't allowed me many opportunities to explore it in depth either.
Here I present a few renders of the various models I did, quite some time ago. 3D modeling and animation is definitely something I would like to pursue along with other works, and am sure gonna make some time for it. Watch out for more in this space - very soon :)
